Welcome to the Mountain Music School page!
This private music school, commenced in 1999, has taught hundreds of hinterland children how to play a musical instrument.
Lessons are taught one to one at 6 Sandy Street Pomona in a music room that allows students to explore a number of instruments.
Gray's natural style is to explore and share music with the students. Many of his students have gone on with music beyond high school to play in pop/rock bands on the Coast and in Brisbane. Some have become professional musicians and music teachers themselves.
A range of musical styles are covered from classical to pop, rock & Jazz. Gray has previously taught high school classroom music at Cooloola Christian College in Gympie, brass at Brisbane Boy's College and piano at St Thomas More primary school at Sunshine Beach. He holds number of university music qualifications and has a Blue Card.
Lessons for children and adults are currently being offered Tue - Thu for piano, electric keyboard, drums, guitar, bass guitar, singing and music theory.
Piano/electric keyboard is a good place to start a student's musical journey - children from ages 6 and up once they have commenced grade 1.
High School/TAFE students & adults welcome too.
High school students doing music as an elective subject are most welcome if they need additional help with theory, instrument playing and/or composition and assignments.
Prices range from $320 - $350 per term (10 lessons) depending on location.
